Yemeni President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi said on Tuesday that there is cooperation and coordination between his country and the United States in the face of Iranian interference and ambitions in Yemen and destabilize the security and stability of the region and the world.
The Yemeni president confirmed during his meeting with US Ambassador to Yemen Christopher Hansel the Yemeni-US cooperation and coordination in various fields, including combating terrorism and countering Iranian interference and its ambitions.
Hadi pointed out that he warned against the repercussions of the Iranian intervention early, according to the Aden-based Yemeni news agency "Saba" in its version in Aden and Riyadh and the internationally recognize "legitimate" government.
He appreciated the support and efforts of the United States to Yemen and peace tracks.
For his part, the US ambassador affirmed his country's support for Yemen and his "legitimate" government and the unity, security and stability of Yemen.
Yemen has been devastated by a five-year armed conflict between the government backed by the Saudi-led coalition and the Iran-backed Houthis. The conflict erupted after the Houthis ousted the government and seized power in late 2014.
