A citizen was killed and five others were injured on Monday by an improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in Taiz, southwestern Yemen.
A local source told "Debriefer" news agency told that an explosive device, planted by unidentified people in the garbage at the entrance to the deluxe market, on Jamal Street in the center of Taiz City.
Witnesses said the Security forces cordoned off the place and began to investigate the incident.There is no official comment on the incident until now.
Since the start of the war in Yemen, forces loyal to the legitimate government and the Saudi-led Arab military coalition have been in control of the city of Taiz as the Houthi group (Ansar Allah) has imposed a siege on it in order to control it.
The conflict escalated after a Saudi-led military coalition intervened militarily in the country in March 2015, to reinstall President Hadi and his government, and has left nearly 11,000 people dead, hundreds of thousands injured, 3 million displaced and made other thousands to flee the country.
