
The Yemeni legitimate Prime Minister on Wednesday ordered the finance ministry and the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) to solve difficulties impeding the payment of security and military personnel in liberated provinces, and to immediately pay them with no exception.
"Based on instructions by President Hadi, the government has, since its return to Aden in application of the Riyadh Agreement, been keenly seeking to solve the delay in salary payment, particularly for military and security sector, as one of its urgent priorities," PM Maeen Abdulmalek said Wednesday.
At meetings and phone calls with both ministers of defense and finance and CBY governor, the premier stressed on dealing with obstacles preventing the salary payment.
Abdulmalek was briefed by his officials on causes for delayed payment and underway efforts to cope with them, according to the Aden-based Saba News Agency.
