The Yemeni northern governorate of al-Jawf at Saudi borders has been seized by the Houthi group, military sources said Sunday, after several weeks of fierce fighting with the official government army.
"Al-Hazm city, the provincial capital of al-Jawf, was fully overthrown, one day after the al-Ghail district's takeover," the sources told Debriefer.
Earlier on Sunday, Al-Jazeera reported that the Houthi fighters entered al-Hazm city following government troops' withdrawal.
