The civil defense in the Yemeni capital, Sana'a, on Monday evening, warned citizens against approaching the places of floods.

It called to stay away from the Shaek Dam in Khaolan district, east of Sanaa, because the torrential rains threaten to blow it up at any moment.

Local sources said that the abundance of torrents caused the blocking of Khawlan Street and the complete disruption of traffic due to the high levels of torrents in the center of Sanaa.

The sources confirmed that the security defense had shot heavily in the air to warn citizens of the dangers of an unprecedented level of torrential rains in the galvan.

Yesterday, Sanaa witnessed heavy rains that lasted for hours, which resulted in heavy torrents, disrupting traffic in the Sayila and a number of Sana'a streets.

The sources indicated that the Sanhan Directorate and the surrounding areas were subjected to heavy rain that led to an unprecedented flow of torrents towards the capital, Sanaa.
