Riyadh (Debriefer) A new attack attempted by the Iranian-backed Houthi group northward Saudi lands has been foiled, the Arab coalition said on Monday.
This morning, defense systems intercepted and destroyed a Houthi bomb-laden drone that tried to target the Saudi southern city of Khamis Mushait, the coalition said in brief statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Houthi group continues its attempts to target civilians and bomb civilian objects, in serious violation of international laws and engagement rules, the statement added.
The coalition takes all the operational measures needed to protect civilians from these desperate, hostile attacks, according to SPA.
Khamis Mushait is a key target for most of the Houthi offensives against Saudi lands, as the city was the target of tens of drone and ballistic missile attacks, although the coalition declares thwarting them.
