Marib (Debriefer) The last hours saw relative improvement in the Yemeni warring parties' commitment to the UN-declared truce, with less breaches reported at war zones, particularly the oil-rich governorate of Marib.
The Houthi group committed limited violations on Sunday evening and Monday dawn in Marib, government military sources said, as some other breaches were recorded in Taiz northern fringes and in Hajjah, according to the Al-Araby Al-Jadeed website.
The Yemeni armed forces' media center claimed documenting 72 Houthi breaches, the lest daily average since the truce took effect on 2 April.
The breaches ranged from targeting the army sites with artillery and machineguns, attempted infiltrations, redeployments, erection of posts and trenches, and sorties of spying drones, the center added.
"The Houthis kept on sending human reinforcements and ordnance to most of the fighting fronts, and deployed armed vehicles in Marib's southern fronts."
On their part, the Houthis reported 81 violations by the army, including 51 sorties by spying planes over Sana'a City, Marib, Taiz, Jawf, Hajjah, Sa'ada, Baydha and Dhalea, according to Houthi military sources.
In the previous days following the truce, daily breaches exceeded 250 from both sides.
On 1 April, the UN envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, said the parties to Yemen's war agreed on a 2-month expandable truce that was welcomed by the Arab coalition, Yemeni government and Houthis.
Yemen has been racked by an armed conflict that broke out after the Iranian-backed Houthis ousted the UN-recognized government in September 2014.
