Human, material losses as cargo vessel catches fire in Aden

Aden (Debriefer) Huge fire flared up Monday in a commercial cargo ship anchored in the Yemeni southern port of Aden on the Arabian Sea.
Owned by a South African businessman, the vessel caught the fire while in the port's deck, leaving human and material losses, eyewitnesses said.
"Columns of black smoke was seen from far distance over the port in Tawahi district, as the fire erupted in the ship, before firefighting teams brought the fire under control," the witnesses added.
According to initial information, the incident left five people (at least) injured, all of them are members of the ship's crew with Indian nationality.
No official statement has immediately been released by Aden port authorities publicizing the exact losses and circumstances of the incident.
