Riyadh (Debriefer) - The Saudi-led coalition on Friday shot down a drone flown by the Houthi group northwards the Kingdom, spokesman for the Arab coalition said in a statement.
The coalition joint forces intercepted and destroyed a bomb-laden drone systematically fired by the Houthis to deliberately target civilian objects and civilians in the Saudi southern area, Turki al-Maliki added.
Saudi Arabia has been leading a military coalition in Yemen since 26 March 2015, in support of forces loyal to President Hadi to retake areas controlled by the Iranian-backed Houthi group.
The Houthis, in return, attack Saudi territories using booby-trapped boats and drones and ballistic missiles fired from Yemen.
