Sana'a (Debriefer) - The Houthi group late on Sunday called for independent probe the missile attack on the Yemeni northeastern city of Marib, denying responsibility for the blast that left 21 civilians killed.
"We asked comrades in the [Houthi] defense ministry, and they told us they shelled a camp and they have evidence," member of the Supreme Political Council tweeted.
"We welcome and call for probe by independent committees into what was said [to have happened] in Marib, or into the ongoing killing of Yemeni children and civilians in all provinces who were targeted by America and its coalition," Mohamed Ali al-Houthi added.
The defense ministry will abide by what found by investigations in terms of paying compensations, he promised.
Houthi forces follow instructions by the group's leader; to respond to sources of fire and to not target civilians, as stated in the Yemeni law, the Houthi official claimed.
According to Yemen's official government, the Houthis on Saturday targeted a gas station in Marib with ballistic missile, leaving 21 civilians killed.
