Sana'a - Riyadh (Debriefer) - The Houthi group has carried out an attack against a Saudi airbase in Khamis Mushait, spokesman for the group said Sunday, while the Saudi-led coalition said its forces intercepted a Houthi drone.
The Houthi air force early on Sunday targeted King Khaled Airbase in the Saudi southern city, Yahiya Sarie said in a statement.
The attack was launched with Qasif-K2 drone, and the hit was accurate, the Houthi spokesman added.
This "comes as part of our legitimate response to the persistent aggression and blockade on our people," he said.
According to Arab coalition's account, its air defenses intercepted a bomb-laden drone sent by the Houthi group northward the Kingdome.
While the Houthis continually try to target, the coalition takes operational measures to protect civilians and civilian objects against hostile attempts, the Arab coalition added.
