Sana'a (Debriefer) - Houthi forces have recaptured all the military sites they recently lost in the Yemeni central governorate of Baydha, the Iranian-backed group said Tuesday.
The group launched al-Nasr al-Mobeen (or clear victory) military operation, leading its forces to recapture all the areas, to which government troops infiltrated, and new sites in Sawma'a and Zahir districts, Houthi spokesman said in a statement.
Through the 72-hour operation, the forces successfully looted arms and left hundreds of "Takfeeri gangsters killed or injured," Yahiya Sarie added.
The operation unveiled how the "Takfeeri groups that apply US agendas are linked to the aggressive coalition" supporting the Yemeni official government, according to the statement.
The Houthi group usually labels opponents in Marib and Baydha as militants in al-Qaeda.
The operation will fully detailed in the few coming days, and Houthi military media will air footages for the operation, Sarie said.
No immediate remarks have been released by the Yemeni troops and Baydha public resistance on Houthi claims.
Backed by tribal resistance and Saudi-led coalition, the Yemeni government troops started on 2 July a massive military campaign that led to swift control of large swaths in Baydha governorate.
But battles slowed down in the last two days, government commander said, as fighting "reached Houthi main strongholds."
