Houthi group (Ansar Allah) said on Tuesday that five children were killed and a one another wounded by a shell explosion, while government forces accused the Houthis of mobilization and military escalation in the province of Hodeida, western Yemen.

The Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV that a shell remnants of the Saudi-led Arab coalition exploded in the village of Manqem in Al-Duraihimi south of Hodeida, killing five children and wounding a sixth.

Militarily, the joint forces loyal to the "legitimate" government have accused the Houthis of mobilizing and escalating the military in the province.

Military sources said they had spotted movements of armed groups pushed by the Houthi group towards areas east of Al-Duraihimi to strengthen their positions, according to the Media Center for Al-Amaliqa brigades, who are fighting in the west coast.

The sources added that the Houthis have brought huge reinforcements, including crews and military vehicles carrying various heavy and medium weapons.

They pointed out that the Houthis targeted areas east of Al-Durayhimi with machine guns, medium caliber 14.5 caliber and 12.7 caliber weapon.

The Houthis have controlled Hodeida city and its ports since late 2014, while joint forces have been massing on the outskirts of the city from the `` southern and eastern '' sides since November 2018 to wrest control from the Houthis.

Although the head of the UN Mission in Support of the Hodeida Agreement, General Abhijit Guha, recently called on the Yemeni parties to abide by the ceasefire as agreed in the Stockholm Agreement signed in December 2018, clashes continue from time to time.
