SANAA (Debriefer)--Houthi foreign minister, Hisham Sharaf, said on Tuesday it is time to end the aggression and blockade on Yemen that have created the world's worst humanitarian crisis.
He called on the UN envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths, to take urgent steps to address the humanitarian crisis as a prelude to any negotiations aimed at reaching a comprehensive solution to the conflict.
The suffering of the people is worsening because of acute shortages of fuel, he said, adding that preventing fuel ships from entering the country is pushing the prices of basic products up and threatening all sectors, mostly the water and healthcare services.
Sharaf urged Griffiths to intervene directly or through the United Nations Security Council and countries sponsoring the peace process and take action to release the fuel ships held by the Saudi-led coalition in order to avoid a looming humanitarian catastrophe.
