Dhalea (Debriefer) - The Yemeni official government forces on Friday made an advancement, a Yemeni military source said, after fighting with the Houthi group in the central governorate of Dhalea.
The joint forces carried out a massive attack on Houthi sites in al-Azariq district, west Dhalea, and retook the strategic mountain of al-Mushamir, the nearby, and al-Saraia village bordering Mawia in Taiz governorate, the source told the Sputnik International.
Its significance lies in the fact that this mountain overlooks parts of Bahir area in Mawia, according to the source.
The government troops fended off a Houthi attack from Bahir, the arrival of Houthi reinforcements, he added.
On 18 October, the national army started a wide-ranging operation to free parts of Dhalea from Houthi control.
