DHALE (Debriefer)--The forces of Yemen's internationally recognised government on Wednesday accused the Houthi group, also known as Ansar Allah, of executing three soldiers after kidnapping them in north of Dhale province.
Soldiers Saleh Abdulrahim, Mohsin Hashrah and Abdulsalam Tawfik were executed by firing squad in the village of Mahqan south of Damt district, said the 26th Sep website, the mouthpiece of the defence ministry.
The group has also kidnapped soldiers Osama Al-Shamsi and Abdu Al-Haydari, it said, adding that there is no information about the two soldiers' whereabouts or conditions.
The government and Houthi forces resumed fighting in the province on Tuesday.
Army units have launched successful assaults on a number of Houthi positions in the Al-Fakhir area west of Qatabah district in the north, the website said.
The Houthis have planted landmines and explosive devices around their positions and in nearby areas to prevent the army's advance, it said, pointing out that civilians have been killed in mine explosions.
