Sana'a (Debriefer) - At least 100 Houthi fighters have been killed or injured at fighting with the official forces in Nihm east Sana'a, the UN-recognized government army said Thursday.
"Backed by public resistance, the national army is fighting continual battles against the Houthis across Nihm fight fronts," the army's media center tweeted.
The troops fended off "suicide attacks carried out by the Houthis in Nihm, in an attempt to make any progress that would raise morale among their supporters, but they gained only gross human losses," it added.
"At least 100 Houthi militants were killed and wounded by troops' gunfire and Arab coalition airstrikes in Salab and Najd al-Ataq fronts of Nihm."
According to the Houthi media, the Arab coalition warplanes launched raid in the west part of Yam Mont, in Nihm, without further details.
Last Monday, a military source told Sputnik International that the Houthi fighters captured sites from the government troops in Najd al-Ataq and al-Jeda'an in Nihm, and advanced towards Madghal district in Marib.
