Ibb (Debriefer) - A militant of the terrorist Daesh group was killed during a security raid in the Yemeni central governorate of Ibb, the Houthi group said Wednesday.
"The interior ministry, security and intelligence killed the criminal Salah Abdul Nour Abdul Aziz al-Rashidi (called Abu Youssef al-Taizzi), a dangerous militant in al-Qaeda, a district in Ibb," the Houthi-run security media center said on its website.
Al-Rashidi originally comes from al-Taizzia district in Taiz, and was killed after resisting security men and refusing to surrender, according to the center.
The militant assassinated the Yemeni national Yaseen Mukhtar Abbas al-Hirwi in al-Qaeda area linking Ibb to Taiz, and promoted the ideology and mobilized in favor of takfiri groups, the center claimed.
Sana'a and many other Yemeni northern provinces (including Ibb) have been under Houthi control since 2014.
