RIYADH (Debriefer)--A Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen said on Thursday it intercepted and shot down an explosive drone launched by the Houthi group towards Saudi Arabia.
Spokesperson for the coalition, Col. Turki Al-Maliki, said the drone had been fired in a deliberate and systematic manner to target civilians and civilian objects in southern Saudi regions.
The Iran-backed group has recently intensified its missile and drone attacks on Saudi Arabia as the coalition is continuing to target its fighters in support of the government forces during raging battles in Marib, Jawf and other provinces.
