MARIB (Debriefer)--Jet fighters of a Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen on Wednesday intensified airstrikes against Houthi positions and reinforcements in the northeastern provinces of Marib and Jawf, military sources said.
They destroyed a weapons depot of the Houthi group in south of Marib, the information centre of the government's armed forces said.
Some of the airstrikes targeted reinforcements and positions of the Houthis in different parts of the district of Mahiliyah, inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment on them, it said.
In the adjacent province of Jawf, the coalition attacked Houthi vehicles and gatherings in the area of Al-Amhour in the district of Bart Al-Anan.
The vehicles were carrying reinforcements and targeted on their way to east of Jawf, the sources said.
The airstrikes coincided with raging battles between the government and Houthi forces in the two provinces. Last week, scores of fighters from both sides were killed and wounded.
