Riyadh (Debriefer) - The Saudi-led coalition's spokesman said late on Tuesday their forces shot down a Houthi drone en route to Saudi lands.
The coalition intercepted and destroyed a bomb-laden drone sent by the Houthi group towards the Kingdom, Colonel Turki al-Maliki added in a press release without further details.
No immediate comment has been issued by the Houthi group on the coalition statement.
The Houthis repeatedly fire ballistic missiles, drones and projectiles at Saudi lands "in response to the Arab coalition's airstrikes on Yemeni areas."
Saudi Arabia has been leading a military coalition in Yemen since 26 March 2015, in support of forces loyal to President Hadi to retake areas controlled by the Iranian-backed Houthi group.
