Riyadh (Debriefer) - Application of the Riyadh Agreement military section in Yemen comes closer to completion as planned, the Saudi-led coalition said Wednesday.
Troop disengagement in Abyan and redeployment out of Aden took place thanks to the two parties' obedience, according to Al-Arabiya.
The successful implementation of the pact's military provisions paves the way for declaring the Yemeni new government formation, the coalition added.
On Thursday, the Arab coalition said the Yemeni UN-recognized government and the Emirati-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) agreed to the formation of the new government that will be declared within one week, after the military section is applied.
The 24-portfolio cabinet formation and troop redeployment come under the Riyadh pact and its acceleration mechanism, which was reached last July.
