Sana'a (Debriefer) - The Houthi group has formed a committee to investigate the issue of a Yemeni woman who was beaten to death by Houthi security men in Odain town, in the central governorate of Ibb, member of the Houthi Supreme Political Council tweeted on Saturday.
The panel will probe the issue of Khitam al-Ashary (25), Mohamed Ali al-Houthi added, as the woman was killed in front of her two children by gunmen from Odain security department who stormed into her house in search for her husband.
The group is prepared to apply what decided by the committee that will probe circumstances before and after the forensic medicine report, he promised.
According to AP, the militiamen raided Ashary house late on Thursday. "When they did not find her husband they kicked the woman and beat her with sticks and the backs of their pistols until she died," a family member said Friday.
"The militants were searching for al-Ashary's husband for his alleged ties to rival forces loyal to the UN-recognized governorate," the relative told AP, asking anonymity for fear of reprisal.
