Aden (Debriefer) - The Yemeni new government return will offer help and assistance to Aden provincial leadership in solving a set of problems experienced by the southern governorate, Governor Ahmed Hamid Lamlas said Monday.
The new cabinet was expected to arrive in the interim capital on Sunday, two days after swearing-in in front of President Abd Rabbu Mansour Hadi, but its return was delayed for unknown reasons.
At meeting, Lamlas called on Aden's local officials to translate President Hadi's instructions into reality, and ease any difficulties and pave way for the government return.
"The government will return in the next two days along with complete plan and program to tackle challenges," the governor said. "We have to be prepared with all our programs, plans and resources, and to help the government cope all challenges."
He highlighted the need for making use of the government presence to implement the strategic project aimed at rebuilding and developing Aden.
According to local sources, large Yemeni-Saudi military reinforcements arrived on Saturday at the Sira-based presidential palace to secure the government imminent return to Aden.
Saudi-Yemeni troops will secure the area linking the ministers' residence in al-Maashiq palace and their workplace in the cabinet secretariat, where the government is expected to hold intensive meetings, official sources said.
Meanwhile, vice-chairman of the Emirati-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) called the government to appreciate sacrifices by southerners and not revoke them with talks about unification.
The Yemeni new government and its ministers should respect the public opinion in the south, focus on services only, and direct military efforts in the face of Houthi group, Hani Bin Boraik tweeted.
