Aden (Debriefer) - An armed group stormed into the Aden-based house of Taiz governor, Nabil Shamsan, and kidnapped two security officials.
The gunmen, who are affiliated to the official government, raided the governor's house amid intense gunfire, before abducting the commander of Shamsan's protection and the commander of Taiz special forces, Jamil Aqlan, and took them to unknown place, local sources said.
Governor Shamsan is living in the interim capital of Aden for months, the sources added.
Despite the UN-recognized government's presence, Aden has been under the Emirati-backed Southern Transitional Council's control.
