Aden (Debriefer) - Coronavirus-linked deaths in Yemeni government-held areas increased to 683 on Saturday when the pandemic claimed four lives in the eastern governorate of Hadhramout.
In the last 24 hours, the anti-Covid-19 medical committee registered 42 infections, 4 deaths and 3 recoveries, the government-run committee said.
Hadhramout recorded 33 infections, Mahara 5, Taiz 2 and Shabwa 2 cases, the emergency committee added in a statement.
Since its occurrence, Covid-19 infected 2,771 Yemenis, including 683 deaths and 1,472 recoveries.
The war-torn country is expected to receive the first batch of the anti-coronavirus shots next month to immunize 3 million people, officials in the Yemeni health ministry said, hoping that another batch would arrive later.
