Sana'a (Debriefer) - The Houthi group has targeted a key military site in the Saudi southern international airport of Abha, Houthi spokesman said Tuesday.
The air drone force "carried out an attack on Abha international airport with Qasif-K2 drone that targeted a significant military site," Yahiya Sarie added in a statement. "The hit was accurate."
Earlier, the group's spokesman said their forces were preparing for a military operation in the name of Saleh al-Sammad, late chairman of their Supreme Political Council, who was killed in an airstrike by the Saudi-led coalition in April 2018.
The forces "are just waiting for a gesture from the leadership, as it's who decide the suitable time and place," he told the Houthi-run al-Masyra TV then.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Arab coalition said its defenses intercepted a Houthi bomb-laden drone heading for Khamis Mushait.
The Houthis have recently stepped up their attacks on Saudi targets using ballistic missiles, drones and other projectiles, but the coalition repeatedly says its forces intercept them.
