Mukalla (Debriefer) - The Yemeni prime minister on Sunday arrived in the eastern governorate of Hadhramout coming from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
PM Maeen Abdulmalek arrived in Mukalla, Hadhramout's provincial capital, in several-day trip that will include Mahara and Shabwa, government source said.
The premier was received, at Ryan airport, by Hadhramout Governor Faraj al-Bohsoni and a number of military and civil officials.
This is the first visit paid by the Yemeni prime minister to Hadhramout since the government formation.
PM Abdulmalek and most of his cabinet members left intermit capital Aden last March after the government seat in the presidential palace was raided by protestors supporting the Emirati-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC).
It was hard for the cabinet to return to the STC-controlled port city of Aden due to growing tensions in the neighboring governorate of Abyan and differences between parties to the power-sharing government and the STC.
