SANAA (Debriefer)--The Ansar Allah group, known as the Houthis, said on Monday it attacked a military site at Abha International Airport in southern Saudi Arabia.
The offensive operation was carried out with a drone Qasef-K2 and the hit was precise, the group's military spokesperson Yahya Sarea said in a statement carried by the Sanaa-based Saba news agency.
It was within our legitimate and natural response to escalation by the states attacking and blockading the Yemeni people, he said.
Early on the day, the Saudi press agency said air defences of the Saudi-led coalition shot down a drone fired towards the airport.
It published a photo of transport vehicles damaged at the airport after the attack.
