Drones at a Houthi arms exhibition in Sanaa

RIYADH (Debriefer)--A Saudi-led coalition fighting in Yemen said on Sunday it shot down a drone fired by the Houthi group towards Khamis Mushait in southwest of Saudi Arabia.

We are taking necessary operational measures to protect civilians in line with international law, it said in a statement carried by the Saudi press agency.

The attack with a drone Qasef-K2 was carried out at dawn against the King Khalid Air Base, the Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Sarea said, pointing out that it came within their legitimate response to escalated Saudi-led aggression and blockade on Yemen.

The drone hit its target precisely, he said.
