RIYADH (Debriefer)--The Saudi-led coalition said it killed scores of Houthi fighters in Yemen's northeastern province of Marib in the past 24 hours.
In a statement carried by the Saudi press agency on Tuesday, it said it carried out 26 airstrikes on Houthi positions in the districts of Al-Jubah and Al-Kasarah, killing 115 fighters and destroying 14 vehicles.
Battles between the forces of the internationally recognised government and the Iran-allied Houthi group have been intensifying for months in the two districts and nearby areas.
The coalition has been involved in the country for years. In recent months, it has intensified airstrikes against the Houthis to prevent them from advancing towards the city centre of Marib.
