Marib (Debriefer) The Houthi group blows up roads and bridges in the northeastern governorate of Marib in order to hinder troop advances towards its sites, the Yemeni pro-government Giant Brigades (GB) said Wednesday.
GB media center aired a footage for the "Houthi group while exploding roads and bridges, using explosive devices, in Mala'a Hill," linking Hareeb and Jowba districts in Marib.
The Houthi group blew up the main road leading to Mala'a Hill, GB said in a statement, after the group "laid explosive devices inside bridges."
The Iranian-backed group started exploding roads and bridges linking Hareeb to other districts south Marib after the Houthi defenses collapsed, according to the statement.
Last Monday, the Giant Brigades announced control of the strategic hill of Mala'a, after capture of Hareeb district.
