Sana'a (Debriefer) The Houthi group seeks a Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue, a member of the Houthi Supreme Political Council tweeted on Sunday, in order to reach a political solution for the 7-year-old war.
A political solution is possible in Yemen, if warring parties have the willingness and decision, Mohamed Ali al-Houthi added.
The Iranian-backed Houthi group "has the willingness and decision to hold Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue, in Yemen or any neutral country like Oman," he said, noting that the ball is in the Yemeni government's court.
If the government does not respond to peace calls, the group will go ahead with its military operations inside and outside the country, he warned, hinting at attacks on Saudi and Emirati lands.
Yemen has been racked by an armed conflict that broke out after the Houthi group ousted the UN-recognized government late in 2014.
Until 2021, the 7-year war has left 377,000 people killed, hundreds of thousands injured, and 3 million displaced, triggering what the UN calls the world's worst humanitarian crisis.
