Mukalla (Debriefer) The Yemeni UN-recognized government needs to meet a set of conditions to export crude oil, governor of the eastern governorate of Hadhramout said Sunday on Facebook.
In a letter sent to Yemen's Prime Minister Maeen Abdulmalek, Governor Faraj al-Bohsoni set urgent demands aimed at absorbing the growing public fury that recently changed into armed disobedience.
No oil tanker will be allowed access to Dhaba port, neither the Canadian company Calavlley will be allowed to operate the ninth oil sector, before the urgent demands are fulfilled, he said, in an attempt to know how the government is serious to give Hadhramout its rights.
At top of the conditions is an increase in Hadhramout's share of oil sales (from 20 to 30 percent) as of this January, and accelerated directives to start the establishment of the 100-megawatt power plant, following Hadi's orders.
Among the demands are swift payment of overdue wages to personnel of the second military region and all security units in the governorate, and a decree to allocate salaries, nutrition and operational budget for 10,000 newly-recruited soldiers.
No immediate reply has been released by the official government.
