Shabwa (Debriefer) Five soldiers from the Yemeni pro-government Giant Brigades (GB) have been killed and others injured, Yemeni sources said Saturday, following a Houthi bombing on GB gathering in the southeastern governorate of Shabwa.
Late on Friday, the Iranian-backed Houthi group targeted GB troops with ballistic missile in Baihan district, west Shabwa, the sources added.
The bombing left five GB soldiers killed and others injured, the sources said, as the wounded were taken to hospital in the same governorate.
This Houthi attack comes hours after the GB announced the end of their "South Hurricane" military operation and redeployment in Attaq, Shabwa provincial capital.
Houthi military spokesman claimed his group's responsibility for the bombing.
The Houthi missile force shelled GB gathering in Shabwa, leaving 40 soldiers killed and other tens injured, Yahiya Sarie added.
