Tehran (Debriefer) The Emirati-backed Giant Brigades' pullout from the Yemeni southeastern governorate of Shabwa is a trick by Abu Dhabi, the Houthi envoy to Tehran said Friday.
The United Arab Emirates "cannot withstand in any confrontation, so today it chooses to deceive and declare withdrawals and repositions in Shabwa," Ibraheem al-Dailami added.
"Effects of strikes on the UAE are very obvious, but Abu Dhabi and the Americans still resort to deception through redeployment.
"Unless the [Saudi-led] coalition troops depart Yemen, captives are treated, compensations are paid and blockade is lifted before everything else, coalition countries will suffer unexpected strikes," he threatened.
Asked about international efforts to bring about de-escalation, Dailami said "there is neither real mediations nor fair solutions."
It is the Houthi attacks deep in the UAE that "made and will make real change in stances."
Earlier on Friday, the Giant Brigades declared the end of their operations – that led to the control of four districts in Marib and Shabwa – and return to Shabwa center.
The announcement comes after wide military escalation, to which the Houthi group responded with targeting Emirati cities.
