Sana'a (Debriefer) The Houthi-run Parliament on Monday warned the Saudi-led Coalition and Yemeni government against wasting the peace chance and obdurately circumventing the truce extension preconditions.
The Houthi group reiterates the Yemeni people's legitimate demands and right to dignified life, the Parliament said in a statement, calling for an end to the looting of Yemen's wealth that should be used for development and payment of civil and military salaries and pensions.
When the Central Bank of Yemen was moved to Aden, the Coalition and the Yemeni government had promised, but failed, to meet these demands, according to the statement.
The Sana'a-based Parliament criticized the UN and its Security Council for "deliberately deceiving and ignoring these demands.. and the UN envoy's prejudice," the statement read.
Calling for the payment of employees' salaries are legitimate demands and not impossible as the Arab Coalition thinks or radical as the UN says, it added.
