Aden (Debriefer) The Emirati-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) on Tuesday urged the Saudi-led Coalition to expel the Yemeni government-affiliated 1st Military Region troops from the eastern governorate of Hadhramout.
The pullout of these troops is a "must to secure stability of security situation" in Hadhramout, the STC chairmanship board said at a meeting in Aden, citing the "public rejection of these troops".
The military forces based in Hadhramout need to be redeployed in frontlines to counter the Houthi escalation, the board argued.
Any attempt to hinder this redeployment would thwart the Riyadh Agreement and efforts aimed at its application, according to the STC website.
