Government forces say four Houthi senior commanders were killed

Sana'a (Debriefer) - Hostilities renewed on Saturday between Yemen's government troops and Houthi fighters in Nihm district south Sana'a, where mortars were used by both sides, as fighting intensified in the two neighboring governorates of Marib and Jawf.

Nihm battles claimed the lives of 35 Houthis, including senior officers, the Yemeni official army said.

Four senior field leaders were among the Houthis killed in the last 24 hours in al-Jafra and Jabal Salab mountains in Nihm, the government troops added in a statement seen by Debriefer.

In Nihm battles, the legitimate government forces captured a BMB armored vehicles and destroyed three Houthi armed pickups in Njad al-Ataq front, according to the statement.

Nihm is one of the most fronts consuming troops from the official army and Houthi forces, as thousands were killed from both sides throughout five years of violent battles that have never seen a winning party.
