Yemeni gov't, Houthis engage in violent fighting in Hodeida

Hodeida (Debriefer) - Fierce confrontations on Sunday renewed between the troops supporting the Yemeni official government and the Houthi group fighters in the western governorate of Hodeida.
The pro-government joint forces engaged in violent fighting with Houthi fighters who tried to infiltrate frontlines in Hais, southeast Hodeida city, a military source said in remarks carried by media center of the Giant Brigades affiliated to the joint forces.
The Houthis suffered gross human and ordnance losses in the fighting, the source claimed, without mentioning the joint forces' losses.
On Saturday, the Houthis carried out two attempted infiltrations from the northeast and northwest directions of Hais, according to the media center.
The Houthi attacks were foiled and ten of their fighters were killed or injured in the fierce battles, it added.
The Houthis on Saturday accused the Saudi-led coalition and the joint forces of committing 292 violations of Hodeida ceasefire in the last 24 hours.
