JAWF (Debriefer)--The government forces said on Saturday they have recaptured a number of positions from the Houthis in Yemen's northeastern province of Jawf.
The positions included the Al-Duqayqah Mountains south of the Al-Khanjar military camp in east of the district of Khabb wa ash Sha'af, said Col. Rabi'a Al-Qirshi, the spokesperson for the government's sixth military command.
On Thursday, the government forces said they took over more than 5 kilometers east of the capital city of Al-Hazm and mountains, hills and villages west of the Al-Khanjar camp and many areas east of Al-Hazm.
They are seeking to retake Al-Hazm which fell to the Houthis in March as the Houthis are escalating within their push to capture the adjacent oil-rich province of Marib.
