Riyadh (Debriefer) The Saudi-led coalition on Monday said its forces destroyed a drone fired by the Iranian-backed Houthi group en route to Saudi lands.
The coalition joint forces intercepted and destroyed a Houthi booby-trapped drone on the Yemeni skies, spokesman for the Arab coalition said.
The Houthis fired the plane in a systematic way to deliberately target civilian objects and civilians in the Kingdom, Turki al-Maliki added in a brief statement.
No comment has been immediately released by the Houthi group on the coalition statement.
The Iranian-backed group in the last weeks intensified its drone attacks on Saudi lands, but the coalition always says its joint forces shoot them down.
The Houthis say their attacks come in response to the Arab coalition's persistent "aggression and blockade on Yemen."
