Lahj (Debriefer) - The Southern Transitional Council (STC) has kidnapped son of the Revolutionary Movement Council (RMC) chief in the Yemeni southern governorate of Lahj, the RMC said Saturday in a statement.
Forces affiliated to the Emirati-backed STC abducted the son of Sheikh Ali al-Haushabi in al-Mosaimeer town, Lahj, the statement read.
The RMC deplored the "mean actions in the form of kidnapping the sons of strugglers and using them as hostages.
"This move has nothing to do with striving or moral work. It's rather an action of gangsters," the statement added, calling on wise men and social leaders to intervene and stop "childish, disastrous acts before it's too late."
No comment has immediately been released by the STC on the RMC accusation.
