SANAA (Debriefer)--The Houthi group said on Monday more government troops, including senior officers, have defected to it.
The national center of the returnees received 23 troops, including commander in the Azal Military Command Brig. Gen. Hani Al-Wisabi and commander of the first battalion in the Fatah Brigade in Jawf province Maj. Ramzi Al-Dhahiri, Almasirah TV reported.
On Saturday, the group's military spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Yahya Sarea, met 300 defected government officers and soldiers.
The group says the defections mean the government and a Saudi-led coalition backing it are losing the war.
The government has not commented on the defections.
