Aden (Debriefer) - The Yemeni UN-recognized government condemns the attack launched by the Houthi group using a ballistic missile on the northeastern city of Marib, information minister said on Monday.
The attack on al-Roudha neighborhood was carried out by the Tehran-backed Houthi group using an Iranian-made ballistic missile, leaving one civilian killed and seven others injured, Moammar al-Eryani added.
Hours before Yemen's pledging conference, this attack comes amid obstinate escalation by the "Houthi terrorist militias" in different fronts of Marib that hosts the largest number of IDP camps, he said.
The Houthi attack means the group ignores international resolutions and insists on fulfilling the Iranian policies that destabilize Yemeni and regional security, without caring for Yemenis' sufferings and the looming disaster as a result of its persistent escalation, the Yemeni minister added.
Despite the UN and international growing calls for de-escalation, armed clashes relentlessly rages on in a city hosting more than two million IDPs according to the International Organization of Migration figures.
Amid their relentless campaign to take control of the oil-rich city, the Houthis stepped up their missile attacks on Marib.
