Sana'a (Debriefer) - The Houthi forces have targeted the Saudi southern airport of Abha with an unmanned aerial vehicle, spokesman for the group said Tuesday.
"The air drone force was able to target warplanes' emplacements in the international airport of Abha," Yahiya Sarie added in a brief statement, using "Kasif2 drone. The hit was precise."
The Houthi announcement came while the US Treasury Department declared new sanctions against two Houthi military leaders accused of architecting attacks on civilians in Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
The drone "attack comes in response to the Saudi-led coalition's air escalation and continual blockade on Yemen," the Houthi spokesman said.
No immediate comment has been released by the Arab coalition or Saudi authorities.
