Taiz (Debriefer) - The Yemeni official government troops have fended off two attacks launched by the Houthi group in the southwestern city of Taiz, military sources said.
In Tuesday dawn, the Houthis attacked the national army's sites in the eastern part of Taiz, going along with tense artillery and gunfire coverage, the sources added.
Few hours earlier, the Madarat site in the western part of the city was attacked by Houthi fighters, in a bid to advance, but the two attacks were fended off, according to the sources.
While no further details was given on the first attack, the sources claimed that the second one left four Houthis killed and others injured.
The heavily populated city of Taiz has been under Houthi blockade since 2015.
