Sana'a (Debriefer) - Advisor to the Houthi Supreme Political Council died of Covid-19 on Sunday in the Yemeni capital.
General Yahiya Mohamed al-Shami died after ten days of struggle with the virus at hospital in Sana'a City, an official said in remarks carried by the Sputnik International.
The general's death comes four days after the pandemic claimed the life of his wife, and one week after his son, General Zachariah, was killed by the same enemy.
Yahiya al-Shami was ranked 11th in the Saudi 40-wanted list in November 2017, with US$ 20-million reward allocated for any information that would lead to his arrest.
The general occupied high-level posts during the reign of late President Ali Abdullah Saleh, including governor for Marib, Baydha and Sa'ada.
Covid-19 attacked several top officials of the Iranian-backed Houthi group, at top of whom is prime minister Abdul Aziz Bin Habtoor, sources told Debriefer.
The Houthis have revealed no data about coronavirus deaths or infections, but these deaths (from one family) may give how wide the virus has proliferated
