Jawf (Debriefer) - The Yemeni government troops have foiled a Houthi attack in the northern governorate of Jawf, leaving a "number of fighters" killed and injured, the armed forces' media center tweeted on Friday.
The national army inflicted the Houthi group grave losses in lives and ordnance in the eastern suburb of Hazm, Jawf provincial capital, the center added.
According to the defense ministry-run 26september.net website, the national army targeted crowds of the militia, leaving Houthi fighters killed and injured, and military vehicles destroyed.
Three Houthi vehicles were damaged by a landmine that had been planted by the militia, the website claimed.
The Saudi-led coalition warplanes carried out seven raids on Khab & Sha'af district, to the east of Jawf, the Houthi-run al-Masyra said, without details on the sites targeted or the losses left by the airstrikes.
