Muscat (Debriefer) - Iran reiterates call for an end to war and blockade on the Yemeni people, the Iranian foreign minister told the Houthi senior negotiator on Wednesday in Muscat.
Throughout six years, war has been regretfully "imposed against the Yemeni people," Mohamed Javad Zarif added at meeting with Mohamed Abdul Salam in the Omani capital.
The Iranian top diplomat called for blockade to be lifted and this war be ended, reiterating his country's stance that "political solution is the only way to settle the crisis in Yemen."
FM Zarif also called for ceasefire, and for Yemeni-Yemeni negotiations to be revived.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Iranian foreign minister arrived in Muscat in an official visit to discuss how to boost bilateral relations with Oman, and to meet the Houthi negotiating delegation.
